Tea from Korea - Gamnong
Also called "Jaksul Cha" (literally sparrow's tongue) for the delicate shape of its leaves, small and twisted typical of a Korean green tea, Gamnong tea is harvested by hand on the slopes of Mount Wolhul in the heart of the plantations of the counties of Yeongam and Jangseong renowned for producing green teas with exceptional flavors.
Garden Details: Altitude between 100 and 150 m.
Harvest Date: Late April.
Particularity: Mount Wolhul, where the plantations are located, enjoys a cool breeze all year round — ideal for tea cultivation.
Expert's Notes: This is a highly flavorful tea, with a milky character reminiscent of certain Japanese teas. Produced in very limited quantities, it offers a glimpse of the remarkable expertise of a still little-known terroir.
