The Carcadet (from the Arab karkandji), called bissap in West- Africa, is produced using the fleshy red receptacles of the hibiscus flower. Its infusion results in a liquor with a beautiful ruby color, tangy flavor and natural red fruits aroma. Depending on the region, it is often mixed with fruit peel and diced fruits. Can be served hot.
