Harvested in April 2021 by a group of producers from the Yunnan village of Gaduo in a 16-hectare garden situated at an altitude of 1,680 metres, this dark Pu-erh tea is made from leaves picked from 200- to 300-year-old Mengku tea trees on Mount Dahei. Yueling Pu-erh is produced using traditional processing methods: hand-rolling, sun-drying and stone-mill pressing. When steeped in boiling water, the compressed leaves unfurl, releasing an orange-yellow liquor with a smooth texture and fresh aromas of the mountains and the wilderness. A floral and fruity brew that evokes orchard fruits, particularly apricot, with a long finish on the palate, underscored by a slight astringency. A remarkable Sheng Pu-erh. Brewing instructions:European style: steep for 4 minutes, using 2 g of tea in 15 cl of water heated to 212°F.Traditional Gaïwan style: steep for a few seconds, using 5 to 8 g of tea in 15 cl of water heated to 212°F. The infusion can be repeated several times in the same way.
