Green tea
Tea from Korea – Teukseon
Harvested in early May in the southern part of Jeolla Province in South Korea, this spring green tea is produced at the heart of Mr Yangwon Seo’s family farm, which has been awarded the title of “Traditional Food Master” by the South Korean Ministry of Agriculture.
Processed into small, twisted leaves of a beautiful dark green, this Teukseon tea, classified as ‘Sejak’ grade, offers a refreshing infusion with a smooth texture, a vegetal liquor developing slightly roasted hazelnut notes, and a finish marked by a slight astringency.
Brewing instructions:
European style: steep for 2 minutes, using 2g of tea in 150ml of water heated to 158°F.
Traditional style: steep for 1 to 1,5 minute, using 4g of tea in 180ml of water heated to 167–185°F.
