Situated in the foothills of Kangchenjunga, the world's third highest peak. It has ideal conditions, with a semi-tropical, sunny and warm climate and sufficient rainfall. Harvested by hand and then gently rolled and dried, the leaves have a delicate and smooth flavour.
Harvest: Clonal – bud and two leaves.
Garden Details: Located on the high plateaus of the Ilam Valley. Grown between 1800 and 2100 m.
Harvest Date: May.
Particularity: Enables its farmers to achieve financial independence by providing higher incomes, free housing and education, and cows for additional income.
